Installing GameCP

Installing GameCP is easy! All you need is a web-server with PHP, MySQL and Ioncube.

You have that dont you?

Installing to your web-server

• Login to your web-server via ftp or some other method
• Download GameCPX http://gamecp.com/get/from/this/mirror/GameCPX.zip
• Unzip GameCPX.zip to a folder
• Upload the contents of GameCPX.zip to a web-based folder
  • Example: /var/www/html/gamecpx
  • Example: C:\wamp\htdocs\gamecpx
• Open a web-browser and browse to your web-based folder
• Browse to the folder
  • Example: http://localhost/gamecpx

I don't have a web-server

Install one:

• Dependency Installer - Windows
• Dependency Installer - Linux (curl required)
• Dependency Installer - FreeBSD (curl required)

Fail to install? Hire a systems administrator

• GameCP does not support installing or configuring web-servers.
• GameCP offers on-server support starting at $10, contact support if you need to hire a systems admin to install a web-server.

What's a web-server?

A web-server is something that serves web sites. GameCP uses what is known as "lamp" or "wamp" and requires that style web-server.

• (L)inux or (W)indows
• (A)pache, lighttpd or IIS
• (M)ySQL
• (P)HP (with ioncube)

It is a basic requirement to know how to install, manage and support a web-server to use ANY php based software.
